DR DAVID GORRY is a specialist general surgeon, who's expertise encompasses a wide range of surgical procedures, including both open and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) techniques. In addition, he has a particular interest in the surgical management of cancer.

Dr Gorry's credentials include a bachelor’s (MBChB) degree from the University of Pretoria, an MMed in general surgery, awarded with distinction from Stellenbosch University, and an FCS(SA). Driven by his passion for the practical and hands-on nature of surgical practice, Dr Gorry finds great satisfaction in alleviating his patients' suffering through timely and effective interventions.
His experience encompasses both the public and private sector, starting with an internship and community service at the Potchefstroom District Hospital and Mafikeng Provincial Hospital respectively.
This was followed by just over eight years as a medical officer at Leslie Williams Private Hospital in Gauteng before a move to the Western Cape.
Dr. Gorry enjoyed a brief stint at Mediclinic Milnerton before honing his trauma and surgical skills at Groote Schuur Hospital and Eersterevier Hospital. He has spent the past five years completing his specialisation training in general surgery at Tygerberg Hospital.
Now back in his hometown and based at Mediclinic Potchefstroom, Dr. Gorry is excited to be of service to community in both the private and public sector. Collaborating with the skilled and dedicated multidisciplinary team, he is well positioned to offer his surgical service to patients in the North West and surrounding regions.
When not focused on his his work, Dr Gorry enjoys spending time with his loved ones. An avid golfer he also enjoys the finer things in life, such as arts, culture and culinary experiences that add depth and richness to his daily life.
